MOVEBR Team Gathers Feedback to Improve Small Business Participation

MOVEBR focus group

The MOVEBR Small Business Outreach (SBO) team recently conducted a survey of small businesses that have registered to participate in the program and a follow-up focus group to gather more in-depth feedback.

The SBO survey gathered information about small business operations, bonding and insurance, growth plans, networking with other companies, work experience with the East Baton Rouge City-Parish, and more. Ultimately, the information will help the MOVEBR SBO team assist small businesses in gaining more work with the MOVEBR Program, and more importantly, make them more competitive for public project work in the future.

The SBO focus group included a sample of small business owners to discuss the findings from the survey in more detail. The results of the survey and focus group will be used by the MOVEBR team and its Small Business Advisory Council to develop additional strategies for increasing small business participation in the program.

The MOVEBR team thanks everyone who took time to complete the survey and participate in the focus group. We look forward to working with our local small businesses in the future.
