Florida Boulevard Corridor Enhancement, Segment 2 (N 22nd to Airline) Project Page

Project Description: This project proposes to improve access for pedestrians and cyclists through intersection and signal improvements, sidewalk connections, and transit stop improvements. It will include the DOTD Safety Study improvements between Cloud St and Foster Dr, DOTD Pavement Rehab improvements, and will also coordinate with the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Improvement Project. The MOVEBR Program will work with the selected consultants for this project and for the North Blvd project to coordinate concepts. It should be noted that the Florida Blvd Corridor Enhancement, Segment 1 (I-110 – N 22nd) Project limits and scope have been incorporated into the overall scope of the BRT Improvement Project as the overall BRT route includes this section of roadway.

02/2024 The project is nearing the end of the preliminary design phase. Final Plans contract procurement underway.
01/2024 The project is in the preliminary design phase. A public meeting will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024.
11/2023 The project is in the preliminary design phase.
05/2022 The Design Consultant is preparing the design study. A public meeting will be held at the conclusion of the design study phase.
10/2021 The Design Consultant is preparing the design study. A public meeting will be held at the conclusion of the design study phase.
05/2021 The Design Consultant is preparing the design study and performing topographic survey field work. A public meeting will be held at the conclusion of the design study phase. 
12/2020 Negotiations with the selected Engineering Design Consultant have been finalized and contract is being processed. Upon execution of contract, a notice to proceed will be issued.
