Project Description: A legacy project that was designed prior to GLP and MOVEBR. Design and construction of a four-lane roadway with sidewalks. The project will be revised based on a new drainage design and updated design guidelines.

Project Updates

Date Status
01/2023 Construction of the project is underway. The contractor is installing drainage pipes throughout the corridor ahead of the road construction.
06/2022 Construction activities for the S. Choctaw widening will begin in early August.
11/2021 The utilities are being relocated within the corridor ahead of planned roadway construction. The Letting date for the road work will be November 23, 2021.
10/2021 The utilities are being relocated within the corridor ahead of planned roadway construction. The Letting date for the road work will be in late November 2021.
08/2021 The Consultant is finalizing the design plans. Utilities have begun relocations within the existing ROW, roadway construction will follow once utility relocations have been completed.
07/2021 The Consultant is finalizing the design plans. Utilities will begin relocation in July with roadway construction following that activity.
05/2021 The Consultant is finalizing the design plans. Utilities will begin relocation in June with roadway construction following that activity. 
02/2021 The final plans are approximately 90% complete. Environmental permitting is underway with the United States Army Corps of Engineers.
12/2020 The final plans are approximately 90% complete. Environmental permitting is underway with the United States Army Corps.
