Project Description: The project will enhance pedestrian and bicycle mobility along S. Harrell’s Ferry Rd. by adding a multi-use path on the south side of the roadway. This portion of S. Harrell’s Ferry Rd. is mainly residential with two schools located along the route.

Project Updates

Date Status
09/2026 Final plans have been paused in order to resolve utility conflicts. May require revised alternative design.
11/2023 Final plans are being developed by the consultant.
08/2023 The Design Consultant has submitted the 90% final plans and they are under review. Utility relocation coordination is underway.
12/2022 The Design Consultant has submitted the 60% final plans and they are under review.
05/2022 The Design Consultant is preparing the 60% (plan in hand) design submittal.
12/2021 Field work for topographic survey is complete. The Design Study is being reviewed by the PMT and City/Parish.
09/2021 Field work for topographic survey is complete. The Design Consultant is preparing the Design Study.
05/2021 Field work for topographic survey is complete. Negotiations with the selected Engineering Design Consultant have been finalized and contract is being processed. Upon execution of contract, a notice to proceed will be issued.
02/2021 The Surveying Consultant is preparing the topographic survey.
10/2020 Negotiations and contracting are underway with the Surveying Consultant.
