Project Description: The proposed project is to add an additional lane in each direction for the length of the corridor. Depending on the land use, geometry and right of way available, either shoulder or curb and gutter will be provided.

08/2024 The project is on-hold as the LA DOTD and the City Parish work to develop a plan for full future buildout.
02/2024 The MOVEBR Airline South project is currently in the preliminary design phase, primarily focused on conducting a comprehensive traffic study and identifying Tier 1 alternatives. Significant progress has been made in gathering data on traffic patterns and congestion points along the corridor. Stakeholder engagement remains a priority, with regular meetings with LADOTD throughout the decision-making process. Next steps include refining alternatives based on technical feasibility and environmental considerations, with a focus on maintaining project timelines.
11/2023 Project is in the preliminary design phase. The consultant is preparing the traffic study and preliminary alternatives have been identified. These will be evaluated and refined to final alternatives. The MOVEBR program team and consultant team are working closely with the LADOTD on this work.

02/2021 Contracting with Stantec is underway.
11/2020 An Engineering Design Consultant was selected. Scoping and negotiations are underway for the design study and environmental activities.
