In The News: Baton Rouge transportation project continues

MOVEBR transportation and infrastructure rapid response team addressed problems that have impacted businesses across the East Baton Rouge parishes. The MOVEBR project focuses on repairing power outages, temporary loss of access to businesses and other disruptions causes by natural disasters.

In the News: Bus Rapid Transit moves forward with final authorization of $15M federal grant

As part of the MOVEBR program, this project will now include the rehabilitation and resurfacing of Plank Road, new sidewalks, signal improvements and amenities for the BRT system such as enhanced bus stops with improved lighting, fewer stops by specialized vehicles, traffic signal priority, real-time arrival information displays, improved pedestrian and bicycle connections, and other features.

In the News: EBR using new flashing turn signals for future road projects

East Baton Rouge will begin incorporating flashing yellow left-turn signals in future city-parish road projects, and local officials are trying to ensure the lights won't confuse drivers. The signals will be used in some state projects and included in MOVEBR projects.

New Left-Turn Signals Ahead for East Baton Rouge Parish

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome announced today she is taking steps to educate the public about one of the latest upgrades to the East Baton Rouge Parish transportation system – new flashing yellow arrow left-turn signals. The new signals are being installed on some state projects and will be included in MOVEBR projects in the near future

Plank-Nicholson Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project Launches Website

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome has announced the Plank-Nicholson Bus Rapid Transit Project (BRT), connecting North and South Baton Rouge neighborhoods to jobs and services, now has a project website, batonrougebrt.com. In its upcoming final design phase, the BRT project will merge with two MOVEBR projects on the bus route and be managed by the MOVEBR program.
