Groundbreaking Marks Start of MOVEBR Perkins Road Overpass Project

City-Parish Officials, the MOVEBR program management team, and area residents and business owners on July 13 broke ground on the Perkins Road Overpass Project, which will create a safer, brighter connection between nearby neighborhoods and Perkins Road businesses. The project will build a multi-use trail and provide new signage, a gated railroad crossing, lighting, bike racks, litter receptacles, landscaping, drainage upgrades and 41 designated parking spaces.

Together, these upgrades will make the area cleaner, safer, more accessible, and more inviting for residents, visitors, local businesses, and daily travelers.
