Project Spotlight: Constantin Boulevard Project Making Progress

[This article originally published on 7/15/25.]

Phase II of the Constantin infrastructure project extends the roadway (formerly Dijon Avenue) from the newly constructed Midway Drive, near the Children’s Hospital, to Bluebonnet Boulevard at the site of the former Ralph & Kacoo’s restaurant, near Interstate 10.  At completion, the new four-lane roadway will provide additional connectivity from Essen Lane to Bluebonnet Boulevard with pedestrian and cyclist accommodation.

The project is about 15% complete and is currently undergoing a settlement period for this phase of the project, which underwent significant land clearing, elevation and grading operations. This waiting time is important as it allows soil to settle under the weight of the newly placed embankment/soil before construction of the roadway and drainage structures begin.  The contractor will then begin installation of sewer and subsurface drainage.
