Public Open House Held for 72nd Ave. Sidewalks - Phase II

The MOVEBR Program held a public open house on December 15th at the ExxonMobil YMCA to provide information on the 72nd Ave. Sidewalks – Phase II project. This project proposes to continue pedestrian access from the east side of the I-110 Overpass to Plank Road, connecting the BREC Scotlandville Parkway, ExxonMobil YMCA, and Howell Place development to Plank Road on both sides of 72nd Ave.

Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, Councilwoman Chauna Banks and Councilwoman Carolyn Coleman attended the meeting to discuss the project with local residents. Exhibits explaining the project design and amenities remained at the YMCA for a week for residents to view. With the 72nd Ave. Sidewalks – Phase I project completed, 72nd Avenue will soon have improved pedestrian access from Scenic Highway to Plank Road.
