Phase A & B Project Updates

Date Status
03/2024 Phase A, S. Flannery Road Bridge, will let for construction in 3/2024. Right-of-way acquisition has been completed for Phase B. Clearing and utility relocations have begun along Old Hammond Highway for Phase B construction.
01/2024 Phase A, S. Flannery Road Bridge, was advertised for construction in August 2023, but a contractor was not awarded the project. Project will be readvertised in 2024. Right-of-way acquisition has been completed for Phase B. Clearing and utility relocations have begun along Old Hammond Highway for Phase B construction.
11/2023 Phase A, S. Flannery Road Bridge, was advertised for construction in August 2023, but a contractor was not awarded the project. Project will be readvertised in 2024. Currently, right-of-way acquisition is still underway for Phase B. Phase B will be constructed after Phase A and will include the roundabout at Old Hammond and S. Flannery and the roadway from the roundabout to Millerville.
09/2023 Phase A consists of the reconstruction of S. Flannery to Goodwood including the replacement of the bridge. All right-of-way acquisition for Phase A has been completed. Currently, acquisition is still underway for Phase B. Phase A was advertised for construction in August 2023. Phase B will be constructed after Phase A and will include the roundabout at Old Hammond and S. Flannery and the roadway from the roundabout to Millerville.
07/2023 "The design of Phase A is complete. Phase A will consist of the reconstruction of S. Flannery to Goodwood. Phase A will be advertised for construction in August 2023 and let in September. Construction will begin in the end of 2023 and is expected to take less than 1 year. During a portion of the construction time, Flannery will be closed for the reconstruction of the bridge. More information will be provided as dates for closures are set.

Right-of-way acquisition is underway for Phase B based on the final design plans that are being finalized. Phase B will be constructed after Phase A and will include the roundabout at Old Hammond and S. Flannery and the roadway from the roundabout to Millerville. "
01/2023 Design engineer has completed final construction plans for Phase A. Phase A will consist of the reconstruction of S. Flannery to Goodwood. Currently, right of way acquisitions are underway for the entire project. Once the required right of way has been acquired, Phase A will be advertised for construction in early 2023. Phase B will be constructed after Phase A and will include the roundabout at Old Hammond and S. Flannery.
06/2022 The Design Engineer is preparing the final construction plans and documents for the first phase of construction. Right of way acquisition is on-going. Wetlands permit documents have been submitted.
08/2021 The consultant is preparing the construction plans and documents.
05/2021 The Design Consultant is developing design plans for the corridor. 
02/2021 The Design Consultant is revising the 30% final plan submittal. A public meeting will be held late Q1/early Q2 to present the design of this project. 
10/2020 The Design Consultant is preparing the 30% final plan submittal.
