MOVEBR leaders joined the City-Parish of Baton Rouge, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, Louisiana State University, Council members Gaudet, Coleman and Racca, design consultants Forte & Tablada, the MOVEBR Program Management Team and community stakeholders yesterday to celebrate the groundbreaking of the MOVEBR Nicholson Drive Segment 1 (Brightside Drive to Gourrier Avenue) New Infrastructure Project.

Groundbreaking Marks Start of MOVEBR Perkins Road Overpass Project

The project will advance MOVEBR and Complete Streets goals for one of Baton Rouge’s most recognizable corridors and connect businesses on the commercial side of the Overpass with neighborhoods on the residential side, including Hundred Oaks, Poets Corner, Zeeland Place and the Garden District with a multi-use path for walking or biking.
