Construction kicked off this month on the MOVEBR Goodwood Boulevard Sidewalks and Bike Paths Project from Airline Highway to Sharp Road. This project will strengthen safety, access, and neighborhood connectivity in the Broadmoor neighborhood.

The project is designed to make it safer and easier for residents, students, and visitors to walk and bike along a key community corridor in the Broadmoor neighborhood.

The project includes approximately 1.3 miles of new sidewalks on both sides of the roadway, bike lane restriping, pavement markings, signage upgrades, and crosswalk improvements. Sidewalks will generally be five feet wide, with seven-foot sidewalks where they are installed adjacent to the curb.

The project also includes new crosswalk striping near Broadmoor Middle School and Broadmoor High School, reinforcing Goodwood Boulevard’s role as a daily connection point for students, families, school staff, and neighborhood residents.

In addition, the improvements are planned to connect with future sidewalk work at Sharp Road and Cora Drive, including the MOVEBR Sharp Road project from Florida Boulevard to Old Hammond Highway and the Cora Drive Sidewalks project.

Procivil Construction is the contractor for this project, and design services were provided by Sustainable Design Solutions. Learn more and sign up to receive updates about the project at movebr.brla.gov/Goodwood.
